Registration Open for EXCO's Spring Session
By syndicated_content on 28 Feb 2011Experimental Community Education of the Twin Cities (formerly the Experimental College of the Twin Cities) is a volunteer-run organization that sees learning as a collective endeavor that can be accessible to all and based on the joys, needs, and desires of our daily lives. This Spring EXCO is hosting more than 60 free and open community-led classes. Participants can join a broad community of people dedicated to redefining why and for what we learn. Classes are now posted on the EXCO website (www.excotc.org). Register online or call (651) 998-9268 to receive a class brochure and/or register.

Minnesotans Mobilizing to Defend Public Education on October 7th
By syndicated_content on 04 Oct 2010This Thursday, advocates of public education in Minnesota are putting on events including a free concert in Loring Park, rallies, marches, teach-ins at the U of M and MCTC, and a student strike and dance party at MSU Mankato. These are part of the October 7th National Day of Actions in Defense of Public Education. This day was called as a continuation of the struggles in California -- including rallies, strikes, and occupations on campuses -- that spread nationwide on March 4th of this year.
