Stop Foreclosures Fight begins to get “Justice for Michael Kidd”

Minneapolis, MN - Friends, neighbors and other supporters joined the Minnesota Coalition for a People’s Bailout at the home of Michel Kidd, April 9. Kidd has been fighting to keep his home for over a year. He has had enough of the mortgage servicer, Aurora Loan Services, stalling, changing terms, ‘forgetting’ about past agreements and items faxed and mailed several times and apparently refusing to negotiate in good faith.

Governor Pawlenty's Proposed Budget Cuts Protested at State Capitol

A die-in and ruckus protest disrupted politics as usual outside Governor Tim Pawlenty's office on Monday. The demonstration drew attention to the deaths that would be caused by Pawlenty's proposed cuts to health and human services, including eliminating the General Assistance program, cutting assistance to families with disabled persons, and drastically slashing the Minnesota Care healthcare program.  As the Welfare Rights Committee said in an after-action statement, "It is obvious to most that Pawlenty is willing to sacrifice Minnesotans in order to let the wealthiest in this state go untouched."  Watch the scene at the state capitol in this video open-published to TCIMC.

Leslie Parks Illegally Locked Out of Her Home by IndyMac/One West Bank

UPDATE Wednesday: Parks is back in her home after a housing court victory and personal apology from IndyMac's CEO. Her next day in court is Wednesday, December 16.

On Tuesday night, Dec. 8, in a freezing blizzard, Leslie Parks returned from her job to find that IndyMac/One West had changed the locks to her home (3749 Park Ave. in Minneapolis).
