US academic Norman Finkelstein denied entry to Israel

US academic Norman Finkelstein denied entry to Israel Professor Norman Finkelstein, an American Jewish scholar known for his trenchant criticism of Israeli policy, was detained and interrogated by Israels security forces, Shin Bet, for 24 hours at Tel Avivs Ben Gurion airport on May 23, denied entry into Israel and deported back to Amsterdam where he had been lecturing. He has also been banned from entering Israel for 10 years, for so-called “security reasons.”

As supporters of how Israel was created, were celebrating down the Ben Franklin Parkway, Palestinians and solidarity activists sent a cloud of 1000 black balloons into the sky to mark the 60th anniversary of Palestinian dispossession, when the Israeli military uprooted and killed Palestine's indigenous population to make way for the Israeli state. Sixty years later this occupation and dispossession continue. Today there is growing public recognition of this reality, which Palestinians have know all along. Education:
1992- high school and matriculation Exam (Bagrut: the final exam ), Der Al Asad High School.
1996- First degree (BA) in Islamic science, The college of Dawa and Islamic science of Um Al Fahm City.
2002- M,phil + PhD upgrade, PhD Title: Contested sites in Palestine, Portsmouth University– England- UK.

Since 2003- Researcher at the Centre F. Contemporary Studies- Um Al Fahm City
