RNC 8 Back in Court for Hearings

In 3 days of hearings in Ramsey County Court last week, the RNC 8 won a Florence hearing to challenge the probable cause against them and heard weak testimony from investigators and undercover informant Marilyn Hedstrom.  In a full day of questioning, Hedstrom testified that the only potentially illegal activity she witnessed before the RNC involved other undercover agents.  The hearings resume Thursday and Friday, May 13 and 14 from 9am-4pm.  Updates from court: RNC8.org or watch the TCIMC newswire | Current motions/briefs | Probable cause hearing expected to finish this week

(Nigel Parry/RNC08Report)--In the two days before the Republican National Convention began in September 2008 in St. Paul, Minnesota, police, county sheriff and FBI agents raided several homes and arrested local activists who had been organizing housing and other logistics for protesters. 

Eight members of the group, satirically-titled “The RNC Welcoming Committee”, were charged with a felony: "Conspiracy to Riot in the Second Degree in Furtherance of Terrorism". Continued below
