A boom for everyone
For Darrell England, Red White & Boom meant looking up at the explosions in the night sky with his wife and son and forgetting for a while that the economy stinks.
"When it's all said and done, family is all you got anyways," said the 26-year-old resident of the North Side, clad in a floppy red, white and blue hat. He was laid off from his job as a forklift operator only two weeks ago. He's worried, of course, but yesterday he soaked in the pleasant vibe in Genoa Park.
