We are looking for legal and/or solidarity support for a friend of NISGUA who
has been detained in the Columbus, Ohio area. Bridget in the Guatemala City
office is in daily contact with family members in Guatemala, with whom we work
closely.

He is currently being held at the Wilmington County Jail. We would love to
find an immigration lawyer or US citizen who can visit him and find out more
information about his case. He apparently has not been given very clear
information in Spanish. He and his family have no understanding of his legal
rights or situation. His wife is pregnant and under a great deal of stress.

Heather Dean, a former NISGUA staff member, is in the area and can give more
information. She would like to go visit him but does not have transportation;
